Movie Memories

Gone were the days when people take a lot of pictures,have it developed and send it out to friends and relatives. Nowadays, thanks to internet technology, most of us just post it on facebook.For relatives who are quite older and not fond of the social networking,we simply sent them a cd instead, and thanks to dvd replication, you can be sure that all of them will get the same copy of all the pictures,what more,you could also edit it just in case you have some unwanted shots.Then,they could simply insert in in their dvd player and watch the slide like it was some kind of movie.

But that being said, I’m still a fan of print pictures because I still like putting it on a frame and display it either in our living room or bedroom,or sometimes,for those who work,in their office table.

Grocery Day

The boys and I went grocery shopping today, we didn’t buy much though but just a few items that we need,specially in the kitchen. At first, it was only me and Patrick,but Kendrick decided he wanted to come with us in a last minute. I spent at least Php5,000 but oh-boy, they are sure when they said that you can’t really buy much with that money nowadays.Thanks to my online work (that reminds me to finish my article about pool net) ,otherwise,I don’t know for sure how am I going to manage with the money that my husband sent each week.Yes, some people think that I’m living in luxury,but honestly, I just have enough because it’s really hard to balance our budget knowing that we have bills in US and we have bills here in the Philippines.But it won’t be long as we are about to go back to US soon and I couldn’t wait!

NOT! Well, actually it was,when I checked my email and found out that I got paid,checked my dashboard and saw lots of tasks waiting to be done,until I checked my blogs and found out that it was unaccessible and also when I realized that my work about maternity dresses article worth fifty dollars went down the drained because of the downtime. The thing that irritate me the most,is I can do nothing about it but was told to wait, it was like, wow!

Well, my blogs are ok now,but I’m not,or maybe I’m just having a bad day!

Day Out With Arlene

When I heard that my friend,Arlene, a fellow mom blogger who is based in Iligan City, is coming to Manila for work-related trip, I immediately sent her a private message asking if she can squeeze a short meet ups with me. Although it was our third time to meet personally, but the first two was not really a quality time together since we were both with a groups. A day before our meeting, I make sure that my digicam’s lithium rechargeable batteries is fully charged.

However, last Sunday was a rainy day here in Manila,but that doesn’t stop us to pursue our meeting,thankfully, although it was a non-stop rain,but it’s tolerable and instead of doing what we planned, like visiting the Intramuros,we just stayed inside the mall and chatted our hearts out non stop over a piece of donut and a glass of iced tea.Almost 3 hours after, we decided to leave the donut place and roamed the mall,we went to National Bookstore and check their postcards but both of us didn’t buy any since they don’t have much in their racks,after few picture taking, since it’s almost getting dark,we parted ways, I assumed she was happy as I am.

I’m glad we did it because it was such a fun day spending time together. Thanks Arlene, I had a great time with you, until next time. :)

Christmas In ‘Pinas!

After living overseas for almost 10 years, my boys and I celebrated our Christmas for the 2nd time in the Philippines (first was in 2007), and it was a blast! We organized a little party with exchange gift amounting Php50 for grown ups and php10 for kids since the gift giving is all for fun, none of us expect anything expensive like jewelry,clothes or even leather briefcases for men, but instead, what we decided to wrapped is the stuff that we use everyday. There’s a bottle of shampoo, a few cups of noodles, a hair clip for kids, a flower vase, and the likes. But mind you, not because our gifts are not very expensive, it doesn’t mean we had less fun, actually,it was the opposite! :)

It is what I missed the most in Christmas, the love,warmth,laughter of everyone having fun. Yes, we do had fun celebrating it in US and in Canada, but I’m telling you, nothing beats the Christmas, Pinoy Style that even my boys had a blast.

After the party, we visited a cousin who just lost her husband a week shy before Christmas to give her a holiday cheer;

Only in the Philippines you can feel the true meaning of Christmas because it’s always about family,friends and fun. As we always say,It is the thought that counts. :)

3 Days To Go. . .

. . .and it’s gonna be Christmas.Thankfully,I’m done with my christmas shopping, which is actually wasn’t that much. I bought the boys’ present, then a few pieces of best eyelash growth product for a few friends as requested and a few blouses for myself. For the rest of the kids in the neighborhood, I decided to just give them money on Christmas day.

I’m not really looking for a very festive Christms this year. I’m just happy we are here in the Philippines with my family to celebrate it with them.

Stefan Aaron’s Orange Piano Tour

Stefan Aaron is a popular pianist who are known to play with his piano in a very unthinkable location.He is a German national who learned how to play the piano at an early age of 6. Eventhough he emigrated to LA for a couple of years, but he decided to return to his home country and start playing piano in hotels and cruises until he started his Orange Piano Tour. His first stop for his Orange Piano Tour was the the peak of the 13800 ft high mountain “Alphubel” in Switzerland,where he set the new World Record of Highest Piano Performance. He played up there his newest single,the piano ballad “Doing the Undoable”

This cute little girl is Heylie, she just turned 1 yr-old last December 6 and we had a little celebration,only with friends and families. She is my ~~grand daughter~~ niece’s daughter. She was so cute with her little butterfly outfit and we are so very proud of her because she was such an angel during her special day, as if she’s aware that it was her day.

They are a very young family, (that’s why I’m trying to convinced them to get a single premium immediate annuities while they can) full of love and promise of a good future.

Christmas Shopping

I was finally able to finish shopping for boys. Their grandpa and uncle from US sent them their gift cash and it’s what I used to buy the stuff they wanted. We didn’t buy much though because we basically doesn’t need anything,specially clothes. My boys still have lots of clothes,many of them still have tags on it. I already bought them a few gifts,so they have some gifts to unwrpaped on Christmas morning. As for me, I’m just waiting for my debit card replacement so I could buy the bracelet I want from vintaj.com.

I’m just glad that I’m done with my shopping because there’s no way I will brave the store anytime next week. It’s crazy out there!

Christmas Season

Yep! It’s last day of November and tomorrow is December, it means, there’s only 24 days before Christmas but for some very odd reason, I don’t feel so Christmassy (yup! I made that up!) at all! I know I’m excited to spend the holidays here but at the same time,I’m not 100% happy because we have to spend it away from hubs,but it’s ok,I know after a few months of waiting,he’ll be here with us and all of us will fly back to US.

Anyway, I haven’t done any Christmas shopping yet and I’m not sure if I would. I’m so not into it. Just by the look of it, I know that my nieces and nephews will be more happy if I give them money instead,so they could buy whatever they want instead of me browsing the store and end up buying something they don’t even like at all.It doesn’t really matter even if it is a diamond ring or other types of jewelries for my nieces or expensive gadget for the boys, if they don’t like it,it’ll be worthless. At least with money, they have the liberty to spend it anyway they want,specially here in the Philippines where gift exchange or return is not a common practice. Cash is the most practical gift to give. :yes:
