I know for a fact that my country,Philippines, is not the greatest country in the world, even way too far to become one. There are a lot of people that don’t know how to follow simple rules, the city is very traffic and polluted, lots of street children roaming the road instead of being in school, the city’s brick wall is full of vandalism by displaying the name of it’s officials. But guess what? I like living here.I like the simple approach to life of many Filipinos. We have a high tolerance, we just let things go as long as it doesn’t affect our daily life, we don’t get frustrated with little things, unlike most people in North America. I like it when I just go to my friends house without setting up an appointment. I like it because I could let my kids play outside without worrying that someone will just snatched them out of my sight because I know my neighbors are watching them. I enjoy eating street food.I like all the simple things.Living my life, one day at a time.
Unlike in US & Canada, I can’t trust my boys going to the neighbors house thinking that something might happen to them. If I asked the neighbor or even a friend to watch my boys for at least 30 minutes, I have to pay them. Our life back there is so boring because we lived by schedules, we can’t do things randomly otherwise it’ll ruined everything. You can’t just simply go somewhere because you feel like without checking the family’s weekly appointment.
I wish we could stay here as planned, like at least a year but it seems like we have to go sooner than I expected. Hopefully not. Keeping my finger crossed.

That’s it! I love the description you make on Filipinos here – we have a high level of tolerance. :)
