After a thorough study,searching and analysis (yeah right!) I finally realized what’s the relationship between this two if not the most important thing in blogging, since we knew, especially the earning bloggers, how Google PR help us to get more opps. Ok, Entrecard help us to get more visitors which I thought , good traffic means good ranking, but I figure out a long time ago that I was wrong on that one. Entrecard give us more visitors but unless they spend more than 10 minutes in your blog, take time to click some of your link and read its contents,aside from waiting for its page to load just enough to click the drop button and close their tab, they are doing harm to your blog than good,Why? Because they only give your blog a high bounce rate than its already has and it’s a very bad thing if you want Google to give you a good PR. Page Rank comes if you have a low bouncing rate and this blog of mine is in opposite right now. After reading that information, then I realized why my Smart Blog got a PR3 ,you see, my EC account on that blog is just casual, meaning I don’t do the 300 drop/day, I only drop whenever I feel like, while on this one, I try my best to meet the quota (but not lately bec I’m busy farming :D )So anyway, I participate in a few memes using that blog, and I gain more comments on those,it means my visitor take time to read and comment and it’s good, most of the time, I got more than 30 comments which of course, I’m glad to return each of them. Google thought my blog is sensible eventhough most of my post is senseless one because people spend time there and read instead of drop and run which is what happen on this blog.
Now I realized , the only way to get a real visitor to read your blog,click the link and comment is to join a weekly memes, and if you will do your part, like visiting the other participant ,then you have a good chance of getting a real visitor that will help you to get the PR you deserve. :yes:
By the way, If you want to know your blog’s bounce rate, you have to install the google analytics, WP have this plugins but I don’t know with Blogger.

Very good advice! I was thinking of dropping EC altogether. Since the paid ad fiasco I don’t get much traffic from ‘em anyhow.

hay, PR update na naman. ewan ko ba, my less popular blogs got PR then the two na most popular 0 pa rin. Like crazy working mom, I am actually contemplating on removing my blogs from EC.

Thanks for sharing this information willa. oo nga nagtataka rin ako, itong mga blog natin na pinaghihirapan maka abot ng 300 ec drops hindi nagka pr, kung meron mn nuon kinuha kaagan ni google hindi na binalik. young blog na hindi pinaghihirapan maka abot ng 300 drop nagkaka PR. so ganyan pala nangyayari. talagang pinagtuonan mo ng oras mag reseach ha, thanks for informing us mommy willa. sana hindi drop and run ang drama ng ibang ec droppers diyan pra naman makabawi sa time sa pag babloghop hehehe.

This is very helpful! I hid my Entrecard widget for the meantime kasi di ko talaga maasikaso. Di ko mareturn ung drops kaya nhiya naman ako kung puro take lang ako ng drops di ba? Pag me time, bka balikan ko or ipamigay ko na lang ung points ko. :) Thanks for sharing!

Hi, Google Analytics can be used to show the bounce rate for Blogger blogs too.
If anyone’s interested, you need to sign up, put your site details into Analytics then add the JavaScript to you blog as a gadget in layout / page elements.
It even shows bounce rates for each source of traffic. E.g. my bounce rate is 94% for Entrecard traffic and around 70% for everything else.
Willa: Thanks for this, I will put it in my other blog. Actually bounce rate that is higher than 50% is already considered bad. I have 78% on this one.
