—–After two years of working overseas, my sister is finally home. It’s like a Christmas present for my family, especially for my mom, for her to be home for the Holidays. Working in other country is a common practice in the Philippines since it’s very hard to find a job locally plus the salary is not that great, so overseas job is the best thing there is for the Filipino people who try to have a better life. The last time we talked, (and it’s like a month ago) she told me she will try to get a job here in Canada, and usually it takes a year but I guess its ok. I told her that I’m willing to support her while she’s here.
By the way, today is Patrick’s last day in school and it’s their Pajama Day. They have two weeks off and then class will resume on Jan 05. But I have to call the school and let them know that we will let him stay home today because the weather is quite crazy, there’s a snow storm and as of this writing, the freezing rain is non-stop.
I can’t believe it! It’s almost 2009. I wonder what’s in store for me. Before I forgot, while you‘re here, you might want to check a friend’s blog, Jon M Queen, it’s a blog about environmental finances, he’s still working on it but he want to make sure that the blog is working. Thanks!
