As some of you know that I’m personally affected with the Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) that hit Philippines NCR Region as my family suffered as long as with others who until now is trying to move on with their lives.  I even asked for a financial help from some  people I only met online and with those help I got, my family is now trying to fix whatever they can.  Anyway, my sister sent me some pictures she took after the flood subside, and I don’t think I really need a clear photo to reallized how bad the outcome of that typhoon was. Can you see how much trash and muds and only-GOD-knows whatever is in there accumulate in such a short span of time.

and did I mentioned It was the same subdivision where the elite Families of the Malabon City live (but take note, we are not members of Village Homeowners Association, it’s more like, they live in a Village, while we live in a Gillage  (gilid, side)  :D ,meaning it’s the piece of land that surrounds the village itself, :D  ). From the Mayor,vice-mayor,the once NBI director even the Valenzuela elite, The Gatchalian family owns a mansion there but I guess Mother Nature doesn’t care at all, just like us who doesn’t care about her the way we trashed the environment.

Hi Willa, it always breaks my heart to see calamities like this. I wish our government can do something about urban planning.

Our local group here are also extending every help we could give.

I hope this could be a learning experience for our officials.

It will take a while to resolve the issues, and I hope your family is coping.

    Sigh.

Hello Willa. Please drop me a line sa beaulah sais sa gmail tuldok com. Kung mabasa mo ito mabuti. Thank you.

I like the new terminology: Gillage.

It’s no longer new to me about calamities like this. So I quietely understand but I have no sentiment to our government though I read in the newspapers in NZ that Arroyo opened the palace for who? Whom? You know the answer. Our government will forever remain hopeless.

    I love our country …

(I like your web design and the header is fantastic).

Willa: Thanks, I love our country too. It’s the government that I can’t stand!

    Cheers!

Hi Wills, even the TV news are too much enough to know what has happened in Manila. When Mother Nature strikes it does not pick on a special group but surely it affects everyone. I would just like to think that this is a great time for everyone to realize that EVERYONE need to hold to their faith in God no matter what is his status in life. Most of the time kasi, when life is ok, no one remembers the Lord. But i know too that God is not selfish to let everyone experience the pang of death so that people will call on Him. It is just that men forget to take care to be more considerate to Mother Nature thus this happens. It’s a happening that no one liked nor no one expected but it is now high time for us to realize that more is coming. Maybe much more worst that what we have seen today.

Life is really precious thus am so happy that your family is well and can go on living. What matters most is the LIFE not the properties. Makita pa rin ang lost properties but if buhay na ang mawala then wala na talaga tayong magawa. Your family is so lucky to have you out there to shower them love and care. You are such a great sister/daughter.

Thanks for joing our OWM this week. :)

Willa: I know, regardless of what happen, there are still so much to be thankful for. and you are right, things that was lost can replace in due time. :)
