We’ve been living in this town for more than a year but never really had a chance to share what it looks like. We are so lucky to live in one of the most historic town here in Ontario,Canada called Amherstburg. It’s a medium size town, a sub-urb of Windsor, not too big but not too small either.  My husband, who literally grew up in a small town in Ohio, like the idea of living here because although it’s a big city but you can still feel the closeness of the neighborhood in a small town. Most people are nice.  We usually leave the house unlocked if we have to go ran some errands.  Lucky for us, our little apartment is in downtown area where everything is just a walking distance. My favorite to do during Summer is to go to nearby Wal-Mart.  I can even see the side of the building when I go outside :D . For some reason, having Wal-Mart around still give us the feeling of being “home”, I mean home in US :) .  Even the boys’ school is only a few minutes walk.  Now that we only have a few weeks away to enjoy this place since we will move next month to Windsor, I thought to share a few pictures.  I took it last Thursday, on our way to the playground, because we have a perfect weather and being homebound the whole winter, walking the street snow-free is like a walk in the park .

This is only one of the many condominium buildings in town.

This is somewhat where most of the local business offices are located,

Here’s our bank where the boys enjoy going with me doing some business,  specially  if we go in the morning because they have free cookies :)

One of the many Italian Restaurant in town, although they are open but usually the outside is full pack during Spring & Summer.

It is really a nice place and great neighborhood.  I wish we can stay here but moving is a part of life. We have to go where the work is.  Husband and I agreed that in the near future,if we decided and ready to buy a property, we still prefer this place to settle down. Although for now, I’m excited for the boys to experience a cit living.  I live in Manila all my life and I think it help me to learn so much.  I want them to see and experience the real thing. Not like living in a sub-urb is bad thing but at least the city life will give them the idea of what it means to live in a fast lane. .

You have a nice looking town. Here in Montana, it’s a bit more humble.
