I’ve been member of this forum since 2000. I was still in the Philippines and in college when i sign up and up to now I’m still an active member.  Anyway, it is the forum that keep me up to date with what’s going on in the Philippines plus I also meet few friends. I was browsing the Parenting 101 forum for some ideas for baby girl announcements when I came up to the topic about AIDS, how it is become common to those people that works in a call center.  It is very alarming because unfortunately, many Filipinos are not educated enough about AIDS.  Either they avoided the topic or just completely in denial eventhough the government is doing it’s job to inform the public.  Some call center company now required an HIV/AIDS test as a part of the requirement and if an employee found to be infected, eventhough it’s against the law to terminate the employment but somehow they can find a loophole just to get rid of you. One forumer said that it is really sad because some people are not even aware they are infected until they get sick or their family member become sickly than normal.  One patient was so devastated since she got it froms her husband  because of his infidelity.  It is unfortunate that the faithful spouse have to suffer the consequences cause by the others. :(
