Yup! You read it right! and it happened yesterday morning. I can’t believed it. I think I’m still shock until now because yesterday and today, me and the boys just stayed in the bedroom all day as soon as hubby left for work.
I woke up yesterday between 7 and 8 in the morning when I heard an unusual noise downstairs. I told hubby to check it out and see what’s going on. He put his shorts on that took a few seconds while we are both wondering what’s the noise is all about. Then he went downstairs just to see that everything was gone and the screen in the livingroom window was cut open. There’s a grass all overthe living room floor. While we’re eye scanning the place, he called 911 and while he’s giving more information at the operator, I saw the police car coming. They took our 2 flat screen tv, the Wii game console, hubby’s Toshiba laptop,my Canon DSLR,printer,my kodak digicam and Kendrick’s DSi,our dvd player. It took me a while until everything sink in to me that it’s all gone.I just can’t believed that it happen while we are sleeping upstairs. We went to camp for 4 days and the thieves have all the time in the world to take everything but why they waited until we are home? I’m just glad that I didn’t went straight downstairs when I heard the noise because only God knows what could happen.
I just can’t believed that it happen while we are in a process of relocating. I mean not now but in the next 2 to 3 months, me and the boys will be going to the Philippines while hubby will be going back to US,and eventually we will be joining him there in a year or so.
As of now, I think I already accept the idea that we lost things, but the trauma and the shock is still there. Yes, I didn’t even see how they did it (thank GOD!) but just the thought that some strangers or what my boys called “Bad Guy” came inside our home while we were sound asleep really creep me out. I mean, what if they decided to go upstairs and look for more stuff and find us and hurt us? I’m thankful to God that He really protect us that time.
This morning, we inquired to some hotels that offer a long term stayed and we will move out of here this weekend, maybe stayed for a week or so until we find another apartment, even if it is only one bedroom house where we could stayed for the next 2 to 3 months while we are waiting for our tickets and the boys passport. It’s just that hubby have to work and there’s so much going on right now that our plates are too full to make any drastic decision, we also need to consider the school which is only less than 2 weeks away. Plus, our budget also put a limit of what we can do.
Inspite of what happened, I’m still Thankful that we are all safe and ok, yes,we lost materials things but I know in my heart those are things that is so easy to replace. God taught me a lesson that nothing is really more valuable than the life of the person that you love.
